The $595.2 million Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development Budget lays the foundation of a fresh start for Queensland's economic future, by restoring confidence, backing industry and supporting regional jobs.

The Crisafulli Government is delivering a $79.1 million investment in the new Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Program to unlock the full potential of Queensland's manufacturing sector by facilitating pathways for export opportunities and enabling reshoring and onshoring by Queensland manufacturers.

The Budget delivers on a key election commitment for a Manufacturing Hub in Toowoomba and an additional hub also on the Sunshine Coast to further strengthen Queensland's regional manufacturing footprint, with a $10 million investment.

$117.8 million to support Natural Resource Management groups is also delivered in this Budget, in line with a key election promise to protect critical biodiversity areas.

The Budget reaffirms the Crisafulli Government's strong backing for the resources sector, with $8.5 million towards preparation activities for the operation of the Queensland Resources Common User Facility.

$4.8 billion has been locked in to save the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program and protect local jobs in Maryborough, which had been derailed under Labor with billions in blowouts and chronic mismanagement.

A further $5.1 million will go towards accelerating mineral exploration, through targeted geoscience initiatives and data technologies to provide industry ready data.

The 2025-26 Budget also delivers $2.5 million to expand the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy, including $500,000 towards programs aimed at increasing women's participation in the resources sector.

Resources safety also gets a major boost, with $10.7 million to deliver the Mining and Resources Coroner, to give families closure and drive safety improvements across the sector.

The 2025-26 Budget also includes $100 million to improve safety on unsealed regional roads through the Country Roads Connect program.

Treasurer David Janetzki said the 2025-26 Budget was about delivering for Queensland with a better lifestyle through a stronger economy.

"We promised a fresh start for Queensland and that's exactly what this Budget delivers," Treasurer Janetzki said.

"After crises in youth crime, health, housing and cost of living, this Budget delivers the foundations for safety where you live, health services when you need them, a better lifestyle through a stronger economy and a plan for Queensland's future."

Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development, Dale Last, said the Budget backed industry, removed red tape and strengthened Queensland's economy.

"This Budget sends a clear signal Queensland is open for business and is serious about growing the industries that underpin our economy," Minister Last said.

"We're unlocking a new wave of high-value manufacturing jobs with $79.1 million for the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Program, and expanding our regional footprint with new hubs in Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast.

"In sync with the work of the Resources Cabinet Committee, we're backing the resources sector with targeted investment to fast-track exploration and support the Queensland Resources Common User Facility, giving proponents the confidence to invest and get projects moving.

"We're also delivering $117.8 million to boost funding for Queensland's Natural Resource Management groups to support on-ground action that protects our environment, particularly in regional areas where ecosystems and communities are deeply connected.

"After Labor's anti-mining policies and approval delays drove investment off a cliff, the Crisafulli Government is restoring confidence in Queensland with targeted funding to create jobs and drive economic growth across our regions."
