Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman arrived in Ukraine today to reaffirm the United States' unwavering commitment to the country.
During the trip, Deputy Administrator Coleman will meet with national and local government officials, civil society leaders, anti-corruption activists, humanitarian workers and volunteers, farmers, and energy sector officials to witness the wide-reaching impact of the Russian Federation's brutal onslaught on critical infrastructure.
Throughout her engagements, the Deputy Administrator will highlight how USAID's assistance, including energy assistance to restore critical infrastructure nodes as Putin's attacks continue, life-saving humanitarian assistance, and $13 billion in direct budget support - plus an additional $9.9 billion, pending congressional approval - is enabling Ukraine to remain resilient in the wake of the Kremlin's senseless war. During her visit, she will also discuss the monitoring and oversight protections USAID has designed to safeguard taxpayer funds.
