The University of Southampton has been named amongst the top 20 universities in the UK in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027.
Southampton was ranked 18th out of 130 universities in the guide. It assesses universities' academic performance, student experience and graduate outcomes to produce its overall league table.
Professor Deborah Gill , Vice-President (Education) at the University of Southampton, said: "Being recognised among the UK's top 20 universities in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide is a fantastic achievement and reflects our commitment to creating an outstanding learning experience for our students.
"Over the past year, we have seen students report improvements across every area of the National Student Survey , including teaching, academic support, wellbeing and having a voice in their university experience.
"We are continuing to invest in our campuses, facilities and support for students, including a major new teaching, study and social space due to open next year.
"Together with our industry engagement and international outlook, the ranking demonstrates that the University of Southampton is an excellent place to learn or work and is making an important contribution to the region, nationally and internationally."
The rankings come after strong performances in other national and international university rankings.
