It's romance story we all need right now

Triple M Brisbane

It's the romance story we ALL need right now – a tale as old as time, well, at least since 2007. One of Queensland's most iconic searches for love is back and it's set to light up the hearts of all involved.

No, it's not MAFS or The Bachelor. It's the real-life love story series that spans construction sites from Caboolture to Carindale, Bowen Hills to Bracken Ridge and Yatala to Yeronga. It's Triple M Brisbane's TRADIE FOR A LADY.

"It's back, it's bold and it's the love story that we all need in 2020," said Margaux Parker from The Big Breakfast.

"We are calling out to single tradies of either sex and ladies to register now online. Or, if you have a single mate, then go head and dob them in– it's the only time dobbing in a mate isn't un-Australian!" she said. "2020 has been tough for singles, and we are about to fix things!"

Triple M Brisbane's Tradie for a Lady has a long, passionate and successful history. It began in 2007 and for six glorious years singles become doubles in the best possible way, tradies found their ladies and vice versa. Ask Adam Nicholls; he was King Tradie in 2008 and is now married to the woman he met on the night and they have five children … including twins who were born on his wife's birthday. After taking a break for seven years, the ultimate match-making experience is back.

"Of course, there's the age-old debate as to what is the most sought-after trade – are plumbers better partners, or do carpenters or tilers take that title? Where do sparkies sit on the dating barometer? What about painters, plasterers, glaziers and boilermakers? And don't even start on the battle of the construction sites across Brisbane – already we've heard that there's a challenge brewing across this great city," she said.
