High-level speakers from across government and industry will come together between 12 and 14 October for ITU Digital World 2021's programme of Ministerial Roundtable discussions, online networking, and the Virtual Exhibition opening.
Co-hosted with the Government of Viet Nam, the event formally opens on 12 October with a vibrant Opening Ceremony in Ha Noi, Viet Nam, which will take place in the presence of H.E. Pham Minh Chính, Prime Minister of Viet Nam; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications, Viet Nam; and ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao.

The Opening Ceremony will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first ITU Telecom event in 1971.
Ministerial Roundtables:
From 12 to 14 October, join government ministers from around the world, along with regulators and top-level industry representatives to explore how digital transformation can be facilitated and funded, the services and content that will drive it, and the role governments can play.
Discussions will highlight key digital challenges and opportunities:
• Tuesday, 12 October - Cutting the cost
- Can affordable access accelerate digital transformation?
• Wednesday, 13 October - Boosting infrastructure
- Rethinking the role of government in digital transformation
• Thursday, 14 October - Digitalizing daily life
- Government services and content driving digital transformation.
Each session will be followed by an informal networking session, where conversations can continue and you can connect with fellow participants, speakers and peers.

Virtual Exhibition:
The ITU Digital World 2021 Virtual Exhibition, organized the Government of Viet Nam and running until 12 November, showcases companies, countries, projects and products through an exhibition hall, 2D and 3D exhibition booths, national pavilions and networking - all accessible online.
WHAT: The Opening Ceremony, Ministerial Roundtables, Networking Sessions and Virtual Exhibition for this 50th anniversary edition of ITU Digital World 2021, the global tech event for government and industry. Registration for the event is free of charge and open to all.
WHEN: 12-14 October 2021. Opening Ceremony begins at 14:00 CEST, 19:00 in Ha Noi, followed by the first day's Ministerial Roundtable.
