A Labor Government would show more respect and support to mothers left traumatised by Jeremy Rockliff's failure to provide better access to maternity care in North West Tasmania.
"All mothers deserve access to safe and timely maternity services," Labor Leader Rebecca White said.
"The situation for mothers trying to access birthing services on the North West Coast has been described by AMA Tasmania President John Saul as a medical emergency.
"Tegan Murphy is a mother who has given birth at the North West Regional Hospital and has shared her experience, and that of other mothers, with the Premier - urging him to take immediate action.
"The Liberals' failure to act on this critical matter while they obsess about building an expensive stadium in Hobart is yet another example of Jeremy Rockliff having the wrong priorities."

Shadow Minister for Health Anita Dow said Labor would take back maternity services in the North-West as a matter of priority.
"Jeremy Rockliff has eroded staff morale and put expectant mothers under stress that they don't need through his mismanagement of maternity services on the North West Coast," Ms Dow said.
"A Labor Government would do what the current Government hasn't done, and commit to taking back maternity services in the North-West as a matter of priority and offering job security to the staff."
