Jetstar Launches $134^ Flights from Perth to Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket

Wednesday, 13 December 2023: Jetstar's new flights directly connecting Perth to Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket are on sale from today as part of a major expansion of the low-cost carrier's Western Australian operations.

The airline has confirmed from August 2024*, it will start flying up to six times a week between Perth and Singapore and operate up to four weekly return flights from Perth to Phuket. From September 2024*, Jetstar will also begin flying up to four days per week between Perth and Bangkok.

The flights will be operated using Jetstar's growing fleet of quieter and more fuel-efficient Airbus A321neo LRs (NEO), with up to four of the new aircraft to be based in the west, creating more than 330,000 new low fares seats between Perth and Southeast Asia. NEO aircraft will also operate Jetstar's existing Perth to Bali services from August 2024.

Last month Jetstar revealed it will also open a new base for at least 60 pilots in Perth to support its expanding operations to and from the WA capital.

To celebrate the new flights, Jetstar is holding a 24-hour Launch Sale. Travel dates vary per route, with one-way fares from just:

  • $134^ Perth to Singapore
  • $160^ Perth to Bangkok
  • $169^ Perth to Phuket

Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said the new international services build on the success of Jetstar's incredibly popular Perth to Bali flights.

"We know West Australians love to travel internationally, and these three new routes to exciting Southeast Asian cities will open up more than 330 thousand more low fares international seats each year.

"With fares as low as $134 to Singapore, there's no doubt these new flights will be popular with Perth travellers."

WA Tourism Minister, Rita Saffioti, said the announcement was just another vote of confidence in Western Australian tourism.

"These new international services just show how popular and lucrative tourism is in Western Australia.

"We're really excited these additional direct flights into Perth are now coming online, providing more opportunity for tourists to travel to our beautiful state, and of course, we expect locals here will also enjoy easier access to these popular Southeast Asian destinations."

Perth Airport's Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer, Kate Holsgrove, said the new international services are great news for Western Australia.

"More competition and new routes give Western Australian travellers lower prices and more choice. These flights will also give tourists from Asia another direct entry point to Perth from where they can then explore our unique regional tourism experiences."
