Jewellery nabbed in Doncaster East burglary

Police are investigating after a navy officer’s home was broken into yesterday while she marched at an Anzac Day service, Victoria Police say.

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the Doncaster East burglary where a large amount of jewellery was stolen.

The serving officer left her Bellevue Avenue home about 7.15am and returned about 2.20pm to discover a large quantity of unique jewellery had been stolen.

The thieves ransacked three of the bedrooms, stealing jewellery including:

• Cartier panther ring, diamond ring and wedding ring;

• Rose gold watch and bracelet with small diamonds;

• Rose gold panther bracelets with diamonds; and

• Yellow diamond ring with small baguette diamonds.

Investigators have released images of some of the stolen jewellery in the hope that someone recognises them.
