Jewellery theft charges in Nambour, QLD

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery that occurred in Nambour in 2015, Queensland Police say.

On March 26, 2015, a man entered a jewellery store on Lowe Street at 3.30pm and he was allegedly armed with a hammer.

It will be further alleged that as staff retreated to safety, the man stole a quantity of jewellery and fled the scene.

Detectives extradited a 40-year-old man from South Australia yesterday and he has been charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offences and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
