The much-loved Gold Coast centre, owned and managed by The GPT Group, took the crown ahead of Mirvac's Kawana Shoppingworld on the Sunshine Coast, who finished runner-up among a host of highly competitive submissions from around the state.
Pacific Fair also took home awards for Retail Innovation and Excellence in Marketing for its successful OFFLINE campaign, reimagining the modern retail experience by transforming a former storage room into an innovative, digitally focused space connecting customers with the brands and products they want.
Property Council Queensland Executive Jess Caire said the awards demonstrated how Queensland's property industry was constantly evolving and elevating the retail experience for customers, creating memorable experiences and reinventing what shopping centres do.
"Every year, Queensland's retail property sector raises the bar around what shopping centres can do and how people engage with retail precincts," Ms Caire said.
"Pacific Fair is one of Australia's most iconic retail destinations and it's no surprise with their industry-leading efforts to constantly reinvent how they attract and engage with customers."
"The judges were impressed by the quality of Pacific Fair's submissions and the way The GPT Group team has successfully positioned the asset to maximise visitation and activity by locals and visitors alike."
The GPT Group dominated this year's awards, with Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore also taking home wins in the Excellence in Centre Management Award, while Ryan Jeffrey - also from Sunshine Plaza - was named the Emerging Retail Property Professional of the Year.
Meanwhile, Toowong Village by Retail First won an Excellence in Marketing Award for its Register for Rowan campaign, highlighting the importance of stem cell donation and successfully registering 178 new people to the stem cell donor registry in just three days.
QIC's Grand Central was also recognised for Excellence in Community Engagement for its 'The Apiary' campaign, partnering with Protea Place in Toowoomba to highlight support for women in crisis and securing over $3.2 million in combined donations and funding for lasting social impact.
"Our shopping centres are frequently the central point for our communities as places of connection, lifestyle and experiences," Ms Caire added.
"The ability for retail centres to make their mark in our communities is also seen in this year's awards, as winners leveraged their spaces to promote important causes and achieved fantastic outcomes for those initiatives."
"Congratulations to all award winners and to the broader Queensland retail property sector for another year of success and achievements."
