Jindabyne Planning Proposal & DCP Amendment Unveiled

As the designated Local Plan Making Authority under Section 3.31 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Council is seeking feedback on a planning proposal for 415–417 Barry Way, Jindabyne and an associated draft amendment to the Jindabyne Development Control Plan (DCP).

The planning proposal seeks to rezone a portion of the property from C3 Environmental Management to R5 Large Lot Residential, with the rezoned area accommodating up to 26 large residential housing lots—subject to future planning approval.

Draft changes to the Jindabyne DCP would allow Council to enforce site-specific development controls for the rezoned property, if the planning proposal proceeds.

A 29-day public exhibition period for the planning proposal and draft DCP changes begins Monday 18 May 2026, in accordance with an approved gateway determination issued by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure in December 2025.
