The Australian arts and entertainment sector is set to be revived, with a further 91 leading arts and entertainment organisations across the country receiving a share of more than $20 million, under the seventh batch of grants from the Australian Government's $200 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
Under the seventh batch of grants, the RISE Fund is providing:
- $403,500 for the Adelaide Festival to deliver Verdi's Requiem, a major collaboration between the Zurich Ballet and over 200 Australian artists and crew, at its 2023 festival.
- $713,950 for LPD Productions to tour RENT the Broadway show across the nation.
- $307,309 for SalamFest Inc to celebrate the 500 year Muslim-Indigenous relationship which was based on mutual respect, trust and acceptance.
- $600,000 for The Trustee for Empire Touring Trust to deliver Empire Touring Theatre Series across the nation - a celebration of the world's greatest rock bands.
The latest funding is supporting the arts sector so it remains a key pillar of our national identity, supporting around 23,000 jobs and reaching 652 locations, with more than half located in regional and remote Australia.
The Australian Government has now invested a total of $200 million across seven batches of the RISE Fund, creating over 213,000 job opportunities and expanding cultural and creative experiences for audiences across Australia.
