The annual Run Army is getting ready to hit the streets of Brisbane and Townsville later this month to raise funds for Queensland Police Legacy.
Both seasoned runners or brisk strollers are invited along to the 5- or 10-kilometre running event on Sunday, April 21.
The goal? To promote health, fitness, and overall wellbeing, while honouring the commitment those serving in uniform have made to keeping our people and communities thriving.
This year, all funds raised from the Run Army event will go to 'Queensland Police Legacy', which is committed to aiding families affected by the loss of a serving or retired Queensland police officer.
This is irrespective of whether the death occurred on or off duty.
Additionally, Queensland Police Legacy support extends to families of serving or retired officers whose spouse has passed away, or where one's parent is grappling with a terminal illness.
For over five decades, they have been a beacon of hope, providing assistance to hundreds of families and children when it has been needed the most.
Through education support and financial aid, Queensland Police Legacy's aim is to ensure that dependent children of those families have the opportunities they deserve, despite the circumstances they face.
