Construction update
Work is progressing steadily across the site. Milestones this month include:
Sports courts
Internal wall lining is complete, and ceiling services are nearly complete. Work is continuing on the southern and western external walls, including window glazing.
Warm water pool and spa, quiet studio and consult suites
Internal wall sheeting and ceiling installation is continuing.
Leisure pool, aqua play area, change rooms and party room
Pool tiling, northern wall cladding and brickwork are in progress.
Foyer and creche
Structural steel framing and roofing is continuing.
Fitness and gym areas
Installation of high-level services is continuing.
Car park
Preparation for car park construction has started.
Opening date update
In April, we confirmed that Kew Recreation Centre will reopen to the public in July 2027. Read our news article
