  • Project to support young students' learning with new Kindergarten/Pre-primary block
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today announced H+H Architects will design the $3 million upgrades at South Bunbury Education Support Centre.

The election commitment project will provide a new Kindergarten/Pre-Primary block for young students to develop and thrive in a state-of-the-art learning environment.

The planned upgrades include two classrooms, kitchen facilities, an internal store and staff and student toilets, among other facilities.

An external play area for students is also part of the project.

The new buildings will replace existing transportable classrooms currently on site.

The project is currently in the initial design stage, with completion of the new facilities anticipated in 2023.

As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

"This important project will mean Bunbury Education Support Centre students can have all their educational needs met right from their early years of learning.

"The outstanding new learning spaces will support some of the South Bunbury area's youngest students to flourish and get the most of their schooling."

As stated by Bunbury MLA Don Punch:

"These upgrades will provide the best possible facilities for students at South Bunbury Education Support Centre to learn in during their important early years.

"With the architect appointed, and the design process getting under way, I look forward to seeing the new facilities come to life and the positive impact they have on local students' schooling."
