Kiama Municipal Council will hold an Extraordinary Meeting in June to consider key documents, including the 2026-27 Budget.
The suite of Integrated Planning and Reporting documents are currently on public exhibition until 24 May, giving the community an opportunity to review them and provide feedback:
- 2025-29 Delivery Program and 2026-27 Operational Plan
- 2026-27 Budget
- 2026-27 Schedule of Fees and Charges
Revenue Policy statement
Because of the strong level of community feedback received, extra time is needed for Council staff to carefully review the submissions and make any recommended changes.
Reports for the 16 June Council meeting must be finalised by 29 May, which does not allow enough time to properly consider all community input.
As a result, the documents will not be presented to the June Ordinary Meeting but a fortnight later at an Extraordinary Meeting on Tuesday, 30 June.
This will ensure the documents can be adopted within the required legislative timeframe.
The extra time will also allow Council to further analyse the impacts of the Holiday Park Expressions of Interest process after recently receiving three unsolicited offers to enter into long-term joint venture deals with three large-scale operators.
It will also enable Council to consider any potential ministerial extension to the Performance Improvement Order before the documents are finalised.
