The City's popular free two-day festival for little humans is back at the Surfers Paradise Esplanade for its third year, featuring an extended Saturday program packed with beats, glitter and good vibes.
Acting Mayor Mark Hammel said Kidchella will return to the iconic beachside destination on 12 and 13 September, with a new movie screening and fireworks finale on Saturday night.
"The event offers a range of activities for everyone to enjoy, including beach rugby for the first time this year," Acting Mayor Hammel said.
"Take in the ocean views from the Ferris wheel, add some sparkle at the Glam Bar, learn new tricks at the skate workshops or capture memories at the photo booth.
"Kids can also put on headphones and dance the day away at the silent disco, get creative in the art studio and shoot some hoops in the basketball zone.
"A highlight of this year's program is the return of Gold Coast DJ Pia Pressure as the festival headliner, whose high-energy performances have become a family favourite.
"Gather your crew, throw on your brightest festival outfit and get ready to dance, play and make memories together."
Festivalgoers are encouraged to ride the G:link to Cavill Avenue or make their journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event.
