Western Australian children will have the chance to immerse themselves in a world of arts and culture these school holidays, with the launch of the Cook Government's new Kids Access All Areas Vouchers Program.

The initiative will provide up to 50,000 vouchers over the next two years, giving children aged five to 15 access to live performances, exhibitions and cultural events across the State.

The vouchers will be valued at $50 and will support families by subsidising the cost of cultural experiences, while also boosting WA's arts sector by encouraging more people to attend events and support opportunities for the performers and creative communities who bring those experiences to life.

More than 100 venues and providers will participate in the program, with around 40 per cent in regional areas, offering families across the State a wide range of convenient options to enjoy cultural experiences.

Families can claim up to four vouchers per household, with rebates payable once tickets are purchased from approved venues or providers.

From today, families can claim their voucher through the ServiceWA App by going to the Offers tab. Applicants also have access to email support and a 24/7 Service WA helpline.

As stated by Premier Roger Cook:

"The Cook Government is committed to diversifying our economy by building a vibrant arts sector that all Western Australians can enjoy.

"The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers Program, along with initiatives like the WA Student Assistance Payment is another way my government is providing targeted cost of living relief.

"This will ensure the cost of attending performances or events isn't a barrier to families, so that children can experience the joy, creativity and inspiration that our creative industries have to offer."

As stated by Creative Industries Minister Simone McGurk:

"The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers Program will give more Western Australian children the chance to engage with the arts and provide a boost for our creative industries by supporting the performers, producers and organisations who bring experiences to life for our community.

"With more than 100 participating venues across the State, including a strong regional presence, families right across WA will be able to make the most of the vouchers these school holidays and enjoy a range of live performances, exhibitions and cultural events."
