Council is encouraging residents in low-lying areas to take precautions ahead of king tides expected from Tuesday.
The king tide is forecast to reach 3.81m at 7:32pm on Tuesday, followed by further peaks of 3.86m at 8:05pm on Wednesday and 3.79m at 8:39pm on Thursday.
Council recommends residents in areas prone to minor flooding during king tides take necessary precautions.
Suburbs like South Townsville and Railway Estate may be impacted, along with Hanran Street and Ogden Street in the city.
Motorists are asked to observe any warnings and road closures.
