King's Business School has partnered with Capco, a leading global management and technology consultancy firm, on the latest edition of the Capco Journal of Financial Transformation focused on Value Dynamics.

The Journal, a flagship publication of the Capco Institute, was first published in 2001 and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas between academics, practitioners, regulators and policymakers. With contributions from leading global experts, it offers a unique blend of academic rigor and industry insight to advance thinking and practice across the financial services and energy sectors.

This latest edition, developed in collaboration with King's Business School academics as well as colleagues in The Dickson Pool School of Law, explores the fundamental forces shaping how value is created, distributed and sustained within financial services, bringing together academic rigor and real-world expertise.

The Journal brings together articles on three themes. Technological Transformation looks at the opportunities and risks of Artificial Intelligence, tokenization and digital currency. Secular Shifts explores private equity, the financialisation of natural assets and the influence of regulation on research and investment. Structural and Behavioral Barriers examines how organisational and cultural factors such as institutional inertia and psychological safety can hold back innovation and performance.

Together, these contributions invite institutions to rethink how they define and measure value in an increasingly dynamic environment.

We were delighted to collaborate with Capco on the Journal, and our collaboration demonstrates the power of combining academic rigor with practical industry insight to generate ideas that inform leaders, influence decision-making, and shape the future of the financial services and energy markets. This edition reflects our shared commitment to advancing knowledge at the intersection of academia and industry.
