State Crime detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Kings Park last night, Friday 8 December 2023, in which a man was seriously injured.
About 9:50pm, as patrons were leaving the 'Ministry of Sound Classic' music festival event being held within the Kings Park & Botanic Garden venue, a man aged in his 40's was assaulted outside the venue.
The man received a serious laceration injury to his neck. He was taken by St John WA to Royal Perth Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for his injury.
A group of people believed to be involved in the incident were last seen leaving the area on several motorcycles.
A large number of people were in the immediate vicinity of the incident, and detectives are seeking any photos or vision taken that shows the incident or the people involved.
