A suspended driver will face court next month after police found knives in her vehicle, moments after she dropped two children off at a Hawkesbury school, NSW Police say.
About 8.50am yesterday (Thursday 18 October 2018), police attached to Strike Force Puma stopped a Jeep Compass on Collith Avenue at South Windsor.
A roadside breath test returned a negative result. The driver, a 30-year-old woman, underwent a roadside drug test.
The woman tested positive for the presence of an illicit drug in her system and was prohibited from driving for 24 hours. A further sample will be sent for laboratory analysis to determine if legal action will be taken.
During a search of the vehicle, police will allege they found two large knives.
Police attached to Strike Force Puma issued the woman a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offences of driving whilst suspended, and custody of a knife in a public place.
The 30-year-old will attend Windsor Local Court 21 November 2018.
The Riverstone woman was also issued a vehicle defect notice and infringements relating to driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle
