Labor strong, united as chaos reigns in Rockliff ranks

Tasmanian Labor

The Parliamentary Labor team is strong and united and ready return to the floor of the Parliament as the Rockliff Ferguson Government refuse to show up to work.

The only reason Parliament was cancelled this week is because the Liberals are in chaos.

Despite Labor offering a pair and a commitment to not move a motion of no-confidence in the government, they decided to prorogue the Parliament and run away from work.

The Parliament has only sat for nine days this year and there was no good reason for the Rockliff Ferguson Government to not show up this week.

The reality is after the third Liberal Cabinet reshuffle in just four months, the lack of depth in the Rockliff Ferguson Government is exposed. The refusal to show up to Parliament suggests the Premier has no confidence his Ministers will handle the scrutiny of Parliament.

In contrast Labor has a strong and united team representing Tasmanians every day by holding the government to account for their failure to deliver, their failure to address the rising cost of living and their failure to provide access to essential services.
