Tasmanian Labor
  • $200,000 commitment
  • Funding to renovate courtyard space, fire exit and install a kitchen
  • Labor is working for Tasmanians to deliver healthy, active and better-connected communities
  • A majority Labor Government will commit to upgrading the West Moonah Community House's courtyard and fire exit.

Labor Member for Clark Ella Haddad said these upgrades will increase capacity for the Community House to provide vital programs, classes and activities.

"The West Moonah Community House provides vital services to the Northern Suburbs including classes, programs, day care, food relief, psychology and more," Ms Haddad said.

"A majority Labor Government will commit $200,000 for the House to renovate their courtyard space, upgrade their fire exit and install an outdoor kitchen."

Ms Haddad said currently the House was at capacity and the current courtyard was quite cold.

"This funding will help enclose the courtyard with double glazing and renovate it to increase the capacity of the House to deliver more services.

"The funding will also assist in upgrades to the House's fire exit along with the installation of an outdoor kitchen to double their capacity to provide cooking classes and food relief.

"I am proud that a majority Labor Government will help the West Moonah Community House with these vital upgrades.

"Labor is working for Tasmanians to deliver healthy, active and better-connected communities."
