Drainage upgrade works re-commenced in early January 2026 and are progressing well.
Boorga Road is currently closed at the Smeeth Road intersection for a large culvert installation. Please be aware that this includes closure of the shared path as this area will also be excavated as part of the works. There will be no through path for pedestrians or bike riders during these works.
Below is a reminder of the current and upcoming road closures:
- From 5 January 2026 to 12 March 2026 – the Smeeth/Boorga Road intersection will be closed to through traffic and pedestrians. Please see the detour plan on the Council website.
- From 13 March 2026 – the Druitt Road/Boorga Road intersection will be closed to traffic. A detour plan will be provided closer to this work date.
- Future works will be commencing on the following locations:
- Intersection of Mallinson and Abattoir Roads in January 2026
- Todd Road in April 2026
- Intersection of Boorga and Druitt Roads in March/April 2026
