Large amount of drugs seized after Northcote intercept

A man has been arrested after an intercept in Northcote lead to a seizure of drugs and cash yesterday morning.

Preston police intercepted the vehicle on Charles Street about 10.50am on 8 June.

Officers searched the vehicle and located what is believed to be a large amount of ecstasy pills.

Police arrested the 41-year-old man at the scene and subsequently executed a search warrant at his Reservoir address.

At the property, officers located what is alleged to be a traffickable quantity of heroin, ecstasy pills, MDMA, cocaine, methylamphetamine and a large amount of cash.

The Reservoir man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs of dependence and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
