The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating following a violent disturbance in Laramba yesterday.
Around 9am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received several reports of two groups of people engaged in fighting, with some armed with various weapons.
It is alleged a firearm was discharged into the air during the disturbance.
Police from Ti Tree, Yuendumu, Papunya and Alice Springs were deployed. The fighting had ceased upon arrival, and an adult female and two adult males were located with non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated at the local clinic before being further conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for additional treatment.
A firearm and a bow were located and seized by police, and at this stage there are no further reports of unrest.
Additional police resources are remaining in the community to ensure community safety and support ongoing mediation.
