Senator Leyonhjelm has set his sights on fighting the nanny state, taxation and bulging bureaucracies in his home state of New South Wales, running as the lead Upper House candidate for the Liberal Democrats.
He will be walking the halls of Parliament House and making public servants squirm until Thursday evening, ahead of his resignation taking effect on March 1.
The NSW election is on March 23.
