Latest cropping research trials at spring agronomy field day

A field day showcasing the latest canola, cereal and lupin research trials will be held on Tuesday 17 September in Gilgandra.

Expert speakers from NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), Kalyx, Stoller and Local Land Services will be talking about their trials and implication for current farming systems.

Central West Local Land Services is coordinating the day and inviting farmers to attend and learn more.

The agronomy field day is a great opportunity for landholders to see the latest research in the paddock and how they might incorporate these ideas into their farming systems, said Local Land Services Cropping Officer, Tim Bartimote.

"Despite the poor season, most of the trial sites are still looking great so producers will be able to see firsthand the National Variety Trial (NVT) results," Mr Bartimote said.

"Getting out in a paddock and talking is a really good way to share knowledge and learn.
