North Richmond Bridge has reopened to traffic in both directions after being closed due to flooding.

Windsor Bridge is also open.

Some road closures remain in place in the area, including:

  • Yarramundi Bridge is still closed.
  • Windsor Road is closed between Pitt Town Road at McGraths Hill and Court Street at Windsor.
  • Pitt Town Road is closed between Wolesley Road at McGraths Hill and Glebe Road at Pitt Town.

In addition to state managed roads, some local roads managed by councils are also affected. Motorists are reminded never to drive through floodwaters.

Meanwhile in Sydney's south, part of Heathcote Road remains closed westbound from the Princes Highway at Heathcote, to New Illawarra Road at Lucas Heights, due to a landslip and road damage.

  • Westbound motorists can use an alternative route via the Princes Highway and Bangor Bypass, and are advised to allow extra travel time.
  • Heathcote Road is open eastbound, but there is a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h.
