Liberals admit trying to keep TAFE review secret

Tasmanian Labor

Felix Ellis has today been caught out trying to keep a legally-required review of TAFE secret.

In a surprising admission, Mr Ellis confirmed the review had already commenced, despite no public statement being made to enable appropriate feedback.

Mr Ellis must now answer important questions about the review.

Who are the two or more independent people conducting the review?

Will they take formal input from relevant stakeholders, including the workforce as described in the Legislative Council when the amendment to have a review was moved? When do submissions open and close?

And when was he planning to tell Tasmanians?

Felix Ellis must finally start being upfront about the TAFE review. TAFE's future is too important to be jeopardised by this Government's trademark secrecy.
