Library celebrates Mardi Gras season with COVID safe events - Wollongong

It's the most colourful time of the year and Wollongong City Libraries are celebrating the Mardi Gras season with free, COVID safe activities at your local Library.

"Wollongong City Libraries holds a range of events, programs and activities year-round for people of all ages and interests. Over the past couple of years, Rainbow Storytimes have become a popular activity for our local families while our other events bring together people from across the city to celebrate with our LGBTI+ community," Wollongong City Council Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

"With more of us staying home to celebrate and doing the right thing in these COVID times, we're bringing some Mardi Gras fun to Wollongong by hosting several smaller events for our community.''

Numbers for all events are limited so visit Eventbrite to book your free ticket today to avoid disappointment

We ask all attendees to do their part to stay COVID safe by checking in using the QR code on arrival, washing their hands or using hand sanitiser, staying 1.5m away from other guests and staying home if feeling unwell.

Wollongong City Libraries will continue to monitor the NSW Public Health Order and will notify attendees of any event changes.
