Library Lovers' Day imageLove and libraries – a match made in heaven. On 14 February, public libraries all over the world will be feeling the love, as Library Lovers' Day is celebrated. Valentine's Day has been around for centuries however it is also now an annual celebration for people to celebrate the valuable role that libraries play in their lives.

Hawkesbury Library Service will celebrate Library Lovers Day on Wednesday, 14 February with staff popping up in the local area with giveaways to encourage the community to join, or rejoin, the Library.

Join the library as a new member from 14 to 28 February to go into the draw to win a $50 gift card.

Your local library has so much more to offer than books. With your library card you can gain access to our collection of DVDs, online resources for students and community members, special events like author talks and workshops, we also have eBooks and Audiobooks online, family history resources, plus some wonderful spaces to read or study and use our free Wi-Fi.

Library Lovers' Day is a fun way of celebrating your enduring relationship for our library service; wherever you are, on 14 February, Love your Library.
