Lithgow Council

The team at Lithgow Council's "Seven Valleys Visitor Information Centre" are delighted to have been rated in the top three most popular Visitors Centres in Australia

Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham said "This is yet another example of the great customer service provided by Lithgow Council Staff. This top three placing for "Seven Valleys Visitor Information Centre" is testament to the hard work and outstanding customer service of the team and is richly deserved. The placing is based on the opinions of customers and shows that people are positively relating to the Visitor Centre and to the whole Seven Valleys tourism region."

In 2022 Seven Valleys Tourism signed up to the Australian Visitors Centres App which lists all visitor centres across Australia. The app is a great way to publicise the Visitor Centre and all the wonderful tourism opportunities of the Seven Valleys tourism region.

Between January and March 2023, a competition was run to find the most accommodating visitor centre in Australia. A feature of the app allows users to 'favourite' visitors centres if they receive excellent service. As a result of the hard work, dedication and friendly and welcoming demeanour of the team at Seven Valleys Visitor Information Centre, a place in the top three visitor centres in Australia was achieved.

The other visitor centres named in the top three were Mackay and Winton, both in Queensland.

To download the Australian Visitor Centres app go to the IOS App Store or the Android Play-store on your smart device.
