Little Malop Central rocks in March

Check out the urban artwork in nearby Union Street, indulge in the local café culture and soak up the sounds from the new stage each weekday.

There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Among the line-up is popular band Plan B, who put on a rollicking show at the Over 50s Morning Tea gathering last month. The group will return on Friday 20 March.

Other artists set to serenade central Geelong include Levi Anderson from The Kite Machine on Tuesday 10 March and folk-pop musician Rach Brennan on Friday 13 March.

Local children's festival Storyfest, presented by Central Geelong Marketing, will make use of the revitalised space from Saturday 28 March to Monday 13 April.

The activation of Little Malop Central is part of Council's commitment to increase the appeal of the street and encourage more people into the City to eat, shop and play.

For the full program of events in March, see the event page.

Greater Geelong Mayor Stephanie Asher

Council's vision is for Little Malop Central to become a thriving hub for families to enjoy.
Recent improvements include the reinstatement of the water features, plus installation of a performance stage, musical instruments, festoon lights, children's play equipment, new planter boxes and seating.
I would encourage residents to revisit the space of a lunchtime and make the most of these positive changes.
