Die-hard motorsports fans, listen up! If you've ever wanted to experience the thrill of riding in a souped-up Supercar, now's your chance.
The Merlin Darwin Triple Crown, which runs from 18-20 June 2021, is giving one lucky racing fanatic the opportunity to ride shotgun with Supercars driver David Reynolds at Hidden Valley as part of a new 'Be in it to win it' competition. In addition, the winner will also get to enjoy a course car ride and the grid walk over the weekend.
To enter, all you have to do is purchase a ticket to the 2021 event before 11.59pm ACST on Sunday, 13 June. If you've already bought your ticket, you will still be eligible.
The lucky winner will be announced on the Darwin Supercars Facebook page on Monday, 14 June at 4pm ACST, with the hot lap to take place on Friday, 18 June at 3.30pm ACST.
The 'Be in it to win it' competition has been designed so Territorians as well as visitors have the chance to win, after event organisers recently ran a competition at a national level that saw one lucky interstater win the ultimate Supercars fan experience.
Thanks to the event's naming rights sponsor Merlin and the Darwin Triple Crown, Melanie Upham from Western Australia will enjoy an incredible prize pack for two including return flights, accommodation, a hot lap in a Supercar, a pillion ride on a Superbike, a start line experience for the Aeroflow Nitro Funny Cars, a Supercars Grid Walk and merchandise.
In addition, the lucky motorsports fanatics will have access to their own Merlin Garage in pit lane decked out as the ultimate Supercars base, with big screens, snacks, comfy chairs and more – the best seats in the house for all the pit-straight action.
