Before homes come roads, roundabouts, pipes and a whole lot of groundwork. Housing has been front of mind for Councillors and our community for many years.
In December last year, Council adopted the Eurobodalla Housing Strategy to guide how we can positively influence housing supply locally, from planning controls and land use through to infrastructure.
Our advocacy helped secure funding for projects like the Moruya Housing Infrastructure project, which aims to unlock land for around 1,000 homes by delivering infrastructure like roads and services needed before housing can begin.
A Housing Improvement Advisory Committee has formed with industry and community representatives. They'll share insights and provide practical advice on affordable and sustainable housing outcomes across the shire.
