Research currently being undertaken by the team at the Manning Entertainment Centre is already providing a clear direction when it comes to the types of shows and events people want to see presented locally.
The survey has been designed to identify how the Manning Entertainment Centre might adapt its offering to meet the needs of local audiences, particularly those who currently travel out of region for live entertainment. And with a $1,000 Golden Ticket on offer, now is the time to participate if you haven't already had your say.
"We're committed to offering the types of entertainment people are looking for," explained Alex Mills, MidCoast Council's Manager of Libraries, Community and Cultural Services.
"Our aim is to fill the auditorium for every performance, which in turn helps us attract top shows and experiences to the MEC stage."
The survey explores the appeal of different genres and asks respondents what makes an entertainment venue the perfect place to visit… from ticket pricing and food and beverage menus, to show times and the availability of nearby parking.
"We've been overwhelmed with the number of responses to the survey so far, which already provide clear insights for our future planning," Alex said.
The online survey runs until Friday 5 December and invites feedback from people of all ages and stages of life. All respondents will be placed into the draw with one lucky entrant winning a year of free entertainment at the MEC, awarded in the form of a $1,000 Golden Ticket.
