Orange City Council has opened a site office in Lords Place south as a hub to provide information to businesses and the community about the delivery of the Lords Place south upgrade project.

The office at 180 Lords Place (the former Century 21 office) will be open to businesses and the public from 10am to 2pm weekdays.

Orange Mayor Jason Hamling said Council was in touch with Lords Place south businesses daily and the site office was an extension of that commitment.

"The construction phase is causing some disruptions but where possible we are working to minimise the impact and making sure the businesses in the street are up to date with the latest works," Cr Hamling said.

"We are also happy to respond to questions from the broader community about how the project is being delivered."

Council established a shop front in Lords Place south to facilitate community consultation. Following the decision from council to go ahead with the upgrade, Council staff will be available to provide information and answer questions on the delivery phase of the project. project delivery.

Council is working to a tight deadline to complete the first stage of the Lords Place south upgrade by early December. Work will then re-start in the New Year.

While there are some disruptions, the street is open to traffic, parking is available on the street and businesses are open.
