Lots on for Wyndham's Youth

Wyndham City's Youth Services have a range of activities and events planned as the weather warms up this Spring!

• The Youth Resource Centre's Internet Café is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm for young people aged 12 to 25, with free high speed WiFi. Young people can book a session or just turn up to the Youth Resource Centre at 86 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing. The Café is a youth-friendly space and printing is available free of charge.
• Wyndham's Multicultural Sports Expo is set to be a fantastic family-fun filled day on Saturday 3 September from 10am to 1.30pm. Come and watch a demonstration or participate in a game of cane ball, walking football, volleyball and touch rugby. Come and be part of this fun day that finishes with free BBQ.
• For parents, there is a two-hour family information session offered by the Youth team to provide parents with information on how to support their teens managing stress and feelings of being overwhelmed. The 'Strategies for Supporting Stressed Out Teens' session is being run as part of the Wyndham Learning Festival on Wednesday 7 September from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Youth Resource Centre, 86 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing.
• Wyndham City is always looking for youth representative volunteers between 15 and 25 for our Youth Committees including Paradox FReeZA crew, Youth Task Force, Youth Multicultural Group and Climate Futures Youth Leader Volunteer. Joining a committee is a great opportunity to develop a wide range of skills including leadership, event planning and advocacy.
• Wyndham City celebrates a young person each month that has done something positive for the community. If you know a young person that has done something helpful in the community, you can nominate them for the Wyndham City's 'One Wyndham - Young Person of the Month'.
