Lunch And Listen With Best Selling Crime Authors

Enjoy a lunch break of a different kind whilst listening to best-selling crime authors Candice Fox and J.P. Pomare in-conversation with Kim Goldsmith on Wednesday 1 April at 12:30pm at Dubbo Library.

Candice Fox and J.P. Pomare will discuss their latest books, Red Belly Crossing and The Gambler respectively.

Candice Fox is a multi-award winning author, who has risen to international fame through her collaborations with American author James Patterson. Candice's novel Crimson Lake and Redemption Point were adapted into a major ABC TV series called Troppo.

J.P. Pomare is an award-winning author of seven novels, the most recent being Seventeen Years Later. His novel, In The Clearing was adapted into a mini-series on Disney+ and Hulu and The Latest Guests was adapted for television, debuting on Stan in October 2025.

Macquarie Regional Library Manager Kathryn McAlister said crime is such a popular genre amongst library members.

"We are sure this author talk with two best-selling crime authors will be interesting opportunity to deep dive into their crime writing processes," Ms McAlister said.

"This author talk will be held during lunchtime at the Dubbo Library, so we are encouraging people to come with a work colleague, bring your lunch and enjoy listening to this in-conversation event."

"Kim Goldsmith will host a panel style event chatting with the authors about their latest novels with the opportunity to chat the authors at the end of the panel," Ms McAlister said.

The author talk is a free event with light lunch provided or you can bring your own.
