An Oran Park woman in Macarthur, New South Wales, is setting her sights on a sunny holiday complete with cocktails after winning $768,013.61 in the Saturday Lotto draw 4399 on September 16, 2023.
The lucky winner was one of seven division one entries nationwide and contributes to the 13 division one wins in the Western Sydney and Blue Mountains regions so far this year, totaling over $18.29 million in prize money.
Initially skeptical of the winning notification, the woman explained,
"Oh my god, I can't believe it. I noticed I received a text message and an email. I thought it was some sort of weird scam, so I left it. Later in the morning, I noticed a couple of missed calls, so I decided to call up, and here I am finding out I won $760,000!"
Though still in shock, the woman already has some plans for her windfall. "I honestly haven't had a moment to decide what I'll do with the prize. It will probably go towards the mortgage and a holiday. A cocktail and a holiday somewhere sunny would be nice! It's been a while since I've gone on holiday."
The New South Wales resident purchased her winning System 9 entry online on the official lotto website. The winning numbers for the draw were 37, 28, 27, 11, 41, and 23, along with supplementary numbers 2 and 1. The breakdown of the draw winnings available here.
Alongside the Oran Park winner, the Saturday Lotto draw 4399 produced six other division one winners across Australia, including two more in New South Wales, two in Queensland, and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.
