The ranking confirms the University's global standing, placing it in the top 1.5 per cent of more than 8,800 institutions evaluated worldwide.
Over the past decade, Macquarie has surged an impressive 121 places in the QS rankings, a trajectory that speaks to sustained investment in research excellence, teaching quality and global engagement.
Vice-Chancellor Professor S Bruce Dowton said the result underscores the University's commitment to delivering meaningful impact through education, research, healthcare and innovation.
"This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, students and partners who contribute every day to Macquarie's success," Professor Dowton said.
"To climb more than 120 places in under a decade is a testament to our shared ambition and to the strength of our vision as a university focused on real-world impact.

Nationally, the University is now ranked 11th in Australia, consolidating its position as a leading institution.
The rankings also highlight Macquarie's reputation among employers and its focus on graduate success.
The University is now ranked among the top 10 in Australia for both graduate outcomes and employer reputation. These are key indicators of how well graduates are prepared to thrive in a rapidly evolving workforce.
Professor Dowton said while the latest rankings are significant, they also speak to a deeper story about Macquarie's purpose and priorities.
