Macquarie Point Precinct Order Made

The final order for the redevelopment of the Macquarie Point Precinct has been made in line with it being declared a Project of State Significance.

Minister for Housing and Planning, Kerry Vincent, recommended Her Excellency as Governor-in-Council make an Order, with conditions, allowing the development to proceed.

The Order was developed collaboratively across multiple agencies, regulators and organisations, with all members of Parliament consulted as part of the process.

The final order is primarily based on the draft permit conditions provided to the Commission Panel in July 2025 and reflects the significant contributions from all involved parties.

It is important to note that while the order has been made by Her Excellency, under the State Policies and Projects Act 1993 it will have no effect until it has been considered and approved by both Houses of Parliament.
