Maddington suspicious house fire

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a suspicious fire at a house that occurred in Maddington on Sunday, 8 August 2021.

About 2.20am, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and Police were called to the house on Olga Road. The fire caused extensive damage to the roof and living area and the estimated cost of the fire damage is $70,000.

The house has been vacant for two years and it is possible people have been staying there without permission throughout this time.

Arson Squad investigators urge anyone with information regarding this fire, or who has CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the fire or Olga Road between 2am and 3am, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
