Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command Organised Crime Gangs Group have charged 20 people following the closure of an operation investigating drug trafficking by an Organised Crime Gang in the Logan, South Brisbane, Gold Coast Districts.
Operation Whiskey Vogue closed today after 25 search warrants were executed at addresses in Kuraby, Hillcrest, Woodridge, Brisbane, Upper Mount Gravatt, Calamvale, Logan Reserve, Holland Park West, Woodridge, Underwood, Forest Lake, Algester, Kiamba and Doolandella.
During the searches, police located large quantities of dangerous drugs, including cocaine, methylamphetamine and cannabis, large amounts of cash and two methylamphetamine drug labs.
Police also located and seized eight vehicles, including four Mercedes Benz and a Range Rover SUV. It will be alleged the vehicles were purchased with suspected proceeds of crime.
The protracted investigation conducted by the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) and officers from the Brisbane and Gold Coast MOCS and Maxima, with the assistance of Logan District CIB, Sunshine Coast CIB, Logan, Inala and South Brisbane TCS, Logan CPIU, Brisbane Dog Squad and the Money Laundering Unit commenced June 2024 to investigate the trafficking of dangerous drugs by a Logan based Organised Crime Gang known as 'KTM'.
Acting Detective Superintendent Craig Bowman said a wide range of investigative strategies have been used to target this group during the operation.
"Today, following a protracted investigation, Detectives from Crime and Intelligence Command, supported by other policing units have decimated a well-established crime gang known for its history of public acts of violence, and large-scale drug trafficking," Acting Superintendent Bowman said.
"This group has been a source of immense harm, and victimisation of our community. Their criminal activities have, without a doubt, exploited our most vulnerable with far reaching consequences including contributing to volume crime within our communities.
"The Organised Crime Gangs group is committed to using all of the specialist resources and capabilities afforded to us, to target these groups at their core and hold them accountable for misery they cause, and play our part in delivering safer communities."
At the closure of Operation Whiskey Vogue, a total of 41 people have been charged, including 20 people today, in relation to 268 trafficking, supply and possession of dangerous drugs and weapons offences.

A 23-year-old Kuraby man was charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs over schedule 3 (methylamphetamines), two counts of possess dangerous drugs and three counts of possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2, four counts of tainted property (cash) and seven counts of supply dangerous drugs.
A 23-year-old Hillcrest man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA, trafficking dangerous drugs (heroin), affray, possess dangerous drug - over schedule 4 (methylamphetamine), possess dangerous drug - over schedule 4 (cocaine), possess tainted property (cash), possess tainted property (Mercedes), possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2 and 14 counts of supply dangerous drugs.
A 22-year-old Woodridge man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA and possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2 one count of possessing tainted property and three counts of supply dangerous drugs.
A 24-year-old Kuraby man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA, affray, possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2 and four counts of supply dangerous drugs, unlicensed driving, obstruct police, and evade police.
A 27-year-old Brisbane City man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA and possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2.
A 24-year-old Upper Mount Gravatt man was charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA two counts of possessing tainted property and two counts of possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2.
A 22-year-old Calamvale man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA, possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2 and 10 counts of supply dangerous drugs.
A 23-year-old Underwood man was charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA and one count of tainted property and supply dangerous drugs.
A 24-year-old Underwood man was charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamines) with Serious Org Crime COA, possess dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in Part 2 and seven counts of supply dangerous drugs.

The men are expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday May 31.
