Major update 1: Shane Bowden homicide investigation

Police have charged a man with murder following ongoing investigations into the shooting death of 47-year-old Shane Bowden last year.

Today specialist police executed a search warrant at a residence on Thornton Road in Chuwar and arrested a 46-year-old man.

He has since been charged with murder - serious organised crime and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, July 12.

Police will allege the man is the president of Brisbane West Chapter of the Mongols and that he counselled, directed and financed the premeditated execution of Mr Bowden.

The investigation remains ongoing and the Queensland Government has issued a reward of $250,000 for information that leads to the conviction of the person, or persons, found to be responsible for Shane Bowden's murder

Indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
