Man and woman arrested over drugs – Labrador

Gold Rapid Action Patrols have laid charges after the alleged discovery of a large quantity of illegal drugs including "Fantasy" at an unit at Labrador last Friday September 14, 2018.

Around 10am a search warrant was executed at a Muir Street residence where it is alleged large quantities of illegal drugs including GHB with an estimated street value of $15,000 and methamphetamines with an estimated street value of $48,000 were located.

A 24-year-old man from Coomera has been charged with supply a dangerous drug, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensil and one count each of possess tainted property and possession of property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence. The man appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court on September 15, 2018 and is due to reappear on October 4, 2018.

A 25-year-old woman from Labrador has been given a notice to appear with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils. She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on October 3, 2018.

Officer in charge of Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol Senior Sergeant Mat Kelly said information provided from the public was an essential element in combating illicit drug activity in our community.

"The public are our eyes and ears and do help police to identify and solve crimes."
