Man arrested after drugs and gun found at Hope Valley, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he was found with drugs and a firearm at Hope Valley last night.

Police will allege that about 8.25pm on Sunday, 27 January patrols were called to an area on Mataro Road, after reports of a man acting suspiciously near a building site.

Patrols located the man inside the site. A car nearby belonging to the man was searched, and police located a firearm, methamphetamine, scales and other drug paraphernalia inside the man's car.

The 25-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with numerous offences including trafficking a controlled drug, possess firearm without a licence and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
