Man arrested after ute crashes into cars, mailboxes, and house at Old Bar

A man is undergoing mandatory testing after ute left the road and hit a house near Taree this morning.

Emergency services were called to Forrest Road, Old Bar, about 12.30am Sunday (4 June 2023), following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Manning-Great Lakes Police District found a ute had allegedly struck several of vehicles and mailboxes in Forrest Road, before running into the front of a brick home.

The house sustained significant damage but there's been no reports of injuries.

Following inquiries, police arrested the 22-year-old man a short time later at an address on Hall Street, Old Bar.

The man was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Inquiries are continuing.
